Skalanews - Police also oversees the presence of foreign workers (TKA) who work in Indonesia. Supervision is said Head of Police Public Relations Division Inspector General Pol Setyo Wasisto only related to immigration issues.

"If someone suspects us to stop, we will arrest him, we will ask him if he does not have a clear identity, we will hand him over to Immigration," said Setyo at National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Thursday (26/4).

Setyo explained, initially supervision of foreign workers conducted by the Police Intelligence and Security (Baintelkam) before the existence of Law No. 6 of 2011 on Immigration.

At that time Baintelkam had a foreigner's supervisor, where every movement of the stranger had to report to the police.

However, after the Act on the task of direct supervision was taken over by Immigration.

"So the supervision from the police is not straightforward, we only help immigration, and now the police are no longer there. Previously, the Police is there, there are Police Headquarters, Regional Police, the name is Satpoa, foreign inspector. Now no longer exists  since 2011, he concluded.(Frida Astuti/dbs)
